This means they are directly influenced and affected by the specfic cultures they represent. These influences provide the foundations on which film is expressed as an art. Film is considered to be a very powerful form of art in today's society. It has the ability to educate, persuade, convict, draw out emotion, and display humanity in its many forms for the viewer to see. It is perhaps the most widely viewed forms of art in the world today.
